Consultations without a specific problem
Registered patients aged 16-74 who have not been seen for three years will be welcome to discuss their health with the doctor.
Registered patients aged over 75 years who have not been seen in the previous 12 months will also be welcome to visit us. If you are unable to attend the surgery for this consultation because of your medical condition, a home visit may be arranged.
Family Planning
Family planning advice is available from both doctors and practice nurse during surgery hours.
Ante-natal Clinic
Both doctors are on the obstetric list. The clinic is held at the Gwalchmai surgery on alternate Wednesdays from 9am-11am. Routine appointments are conducted by the midwife with a doctor available for consultation.
Travel Medications/Immunisations
Travel Vaccinations are required for certain countries; please check with the practice nurse, there is sometimes a charge for the vaccinations. If you need special medications for your trip abroad, for example anti-malarial tablets, you will probably need to pay for them as the NHS usually does not provide them. We can advise on what you will need and supply private prescriptions.
Immunisations
Immunisations are free for certain people; please check with the practice nurse, there is sometimes a charge for immunisations.
